We're in Sturgis this week and after watching our boy Bryant clean some fellers clock at Bare Knuckle FIghting Championships, we watched Megadeath shred, and we couldn't help but think of this story. So, Mustaine started another band. His new band, Megadeth, became one of the most successful heavy metal groups in history. They sold 50 million records worldwide, earned twelve Grammy nominations, won Best Metal Performance for the song "Dystopia" in 2017, and boosted Mustaine's net worth to around $20 million. Instead of being happy with his massive success and riches with Megadeth, Mustaine spent the last 30 years feeling inadequate, resentful, and continues to be publicly upset about being kicked out of his first band. His first band was Metallica. Let's play a little game... Every example you can think of equals one point. Which question wins: 1. How many times has comparing yourself, your value, or your outcome to someone else's made you feel upset? 2. How many times has comparing yourself, your value, or your outcome to someone else's has made your life better? Say it with us... "It's ok to be happy" |
