If you're reading this, please, before you overthink it - forward it to a friend or family member who needs to know how grateful you are to have them in your life. Before you overthink, before you talk yourself out of it, click the buttons. Think about it later, we're begging you.
Our friend Nathan took his final breaths last night in a hospital after his 5th cancer diagnosis, surrounded by his family and friends.
Some of you may remember Nathan either from our "Biggest Flex" tee or from road trips he joined us on. If you never got the pleasure of meeting him - his story, let alone his presence had a way of representing everything this brand stands for.
"Clock's Tickin', Start Livin'"
"Let Go for Dear Life"
No one gets out alive, Live Accordingly."
"Safe or not, we all get caught"
"Safety Second"
"Go Fast Don't Die"
and of course...
"MAY YOUR BIGGEST FLEX ALWAYS BE YOUR FRIENDS."
His life and ethos was manifesto incarnate for our brand. He didn't ride a motorcycle, he didn't even have a license but he represented everything this brand stands for with his LIFE, not just his words and as we say that is you true message to the world.
If you're reading this Nathan would tell you how fortunate you are to be alive. If you're not in pain he would tell you how insabley good you've got it to feel even decent. And if you're sitting in a cancer ward in a hospital with little hope he would tell you that your life is meaningful and you are where you are for a reason and you just have to choose it.
An artists work begins for them when they pick up the paintbrush, it begins for the rest of us when they set that brush down and show us the painting.
Nathan, your story and impact on this world is just beginning. Thank you for the incredible work of art that was your life on display. Heartbroken and grateful,
We love you.

If you died today - what would you have left unsaid?
What would you have left undone?
If you knew when you were gonna pass on, what would you make sure you did before that day came?
When is that coming?
Nathan would tell you life is negotiable. Negotiate on your terms.
"As I write this from a hospital bed receiving chemo on my third cancer diagnosis in five years you can’t help but think...Go Fast, Don’t Die.
With every diagnosis comes a new lesson. You quickly learn nobody cares about your car, toys, or bank account. People continue to show up knowing I’m broke and have in-depth conversations about the future. The real strength in life is also not having to fight loneliness after being forced back into the ring. GFDD has always been a place where I’ve felt heard and respected- another huge part of why this project has been such an honor.
May your biggest flex always be your friends." - Nathan Kissack // RIP
