“It is an ironic habit of human beings to run faster when we have lost our way.”

LeBron James has played more playoff minutes (10,049) than any other man in basketball history. His average of 38.69 minutes per regular-season game ranks first among all active NBA players. Opponents fall victim to dead legs and scorched lungs while LeBron seems impervious to fatigue. On the Tim Ferriss podcast, LeBron stated he spends 10-12 hours a night in bed and $1.5 million a year on rest and recovery (including nutrition, ice baths, contrast therapy, massages, etc.).
Is there something you've been planning to get into once things "slow down" a little? Can you remember a time when that actually happened? What if we made "rest" a part of the work? If you Google the word "Sabbath", it’s either a religious day of rest or a witches meeting with the devil - if you google "Fast Sabbath" - well we don't know but we hope you'll find us, and if you've found us, you've found a community that TAKES their time instead of just letting it pass. We encourage you to join us for a “Fast Sabbath” where for one day, we slow down.
Re-charge. Re-fill. Re-mind ourselves what it is that we're working so hard for.
Slow down for fast minute,
Ps. Don't feel you need a weekly day of rest? Could it be possible that maybe it's because there's missed opportunity during the other 6 days to do/work/laugh/live a little more? This is your permission slip to slow it down, just for a sec. Print it off and hand it in if you need to - we'll back you up. |
