Ok two things today...
Number one: Respond to this email with a 1-10 on "How great is America?" 1 being it's the worst, 10 it's perfect.
Number two: Consider these (rhetorical) questions with regard to your answer.
1.) Why did I answer with the number that I did?
2.) What either needs to change to improve or be supported to preserve in America?
3.) What am I/ could I/ should I be doing (if anything) to improve my relationship with fellow Americans, and my idea of America at large?
4.) How much of my opinion is based on my experience vs. an agenda-driven manipulation campaign? What could I do that would help my answer be rooted in the former?
5.) Whatever you answered to that last question - do that.
It's something we think about often, but the topic of America feels as polarizing as it ever has to talk about. It's 4th of July weekend, a weekend where we celebrate Independence, and the freedom to pursue a better story. We believe in that pursuit.
